Booksigning with Ronnie Wood

Updated: Jun 16, 2018

We are going to London and we are going to meet Ronnie Wood. A month ago this seemed an impossible dream, but it's happening. Ronnie published a book with all his artwork and today he would be in Selfridges for a book-signing. An opportunity we couldn't miss!

We took the Eurostar early in the morning and arrived in our hotel Hyatt Churchill around noon. Selfridges was within walking distance so we went there to check out were the event was going to take place and pick up our wristbands. We went for a quick bite to eat and returned to the scene of the action, excitedly anticipating Ronnie's arrival.

Here we met with Ulrich Schroeder and Peter Donks, both big Stones fans. After waiting for a while Ronnie and Sally arrived. We were second in line and I had taken my professional camera with me to get some nice shots. Ron went first and I made a lovely photo with him and Ronnie. Then it was my turn. I was wearing the dress with Ronnie's painting on it, but it all went so quickly and I barely got to say anything to my favourite Rolling Stone. A lady took my photo with my camera, but it turned out to be completely out of focus. Summary of the day: Ron was pleased, me... a little less.

The next day we went sightseeing in London. Like real tourists we visited the Big Ben, the house of parliament, Westminster Abbey and the London Eye. We didn't catch a ride through as the queue was way too long. Then we went to Denmark street looking for some music history. We had a lovely two days in London.
