NO FILTER MUNICH

Updated: Jun 16, 2018

Our second Stones show of this tour, it will be a hard one as we are so tired after the long drive to Munich, but when the Stones hit the stage I'm sure they will wake us up!

Mick with his Gibson Hummingbird

Kaleo opened for the Stones just like in Hamburg. They're a nice band, with some good songs so it's not too bad to see them twice. The Rolling Stones opened with the same songs as in Hamburg. Out of control being my favourite, so powerful, so energetic! Afterwards the two blues songs were played. They are surprisingly well received in such a big stadium. 'Dancing with Mr. D.' was nice, technically better than in Hamburg. Followed by the always popular 'You can't always get what you want.'

“'Beast of burden' won the song vote and I absolutely loved it, nice interaction between Bernard and Mick.”

They went on with 'Paint it black' and 'Honky tonk women'. Nice strong warhorses. Ron's concert was a success already as he managed to catch one of Ronnie's guitar picks!

Hamburg repeated

From the band introductions onward all songs were the same as in Hamburg, which was a bit disappointing. They dropped the amazing 'Play with fire,' sad, such a lovely ballad. It was freezing in Munich and Ronnie had already donned a coat, but then it started raining as well. It was a nice view from the pit, Mick on the smaller stage in the rain! Glad though it only lasted for a couple of minutes. Keith was more focused than in Hamburg and played a solid set. 'Gimme shelter' deserves a mention as well. Great classic with a very strong Sasha and great solo's from Ronnie and Keith. 'Jumping jack flash' ended the show with a bang!
