Our time in dublin

Updated: Jun 16, 2018

Our first time in the city famous for it's pubs and lovely Guinness. What a dangerous time for my lovely Ron! Also our first trip with Fleur, my 6 month old sausage dog.

It all started on the wrong foot. Traffic on our way to Schiphol airport, difficulties with KLM to get the dog on the flight and a rush to make it. When we finally arrived in Dublin it was a hassle to get a cab, but the hotel compensated a lot, very dog friendly and really luxurious.

The first day we went looking for a dogfriendly pub, which was pretty difficult, but we found a place with a fresh pint of Guinness. We had a pretty quiet day to recover from our travel. The next morning we had a great breakfast at the hotel. I went sightseeing with my mum, went to the park with the dog and did some shopping. Ron went for a Guinness at Doheny's and Nesbitt, where we ended up for our diner as well.

Enough with the drinking already, the day before the concert we went to explore Old Town Dublin. We visited Dublinia and Dublin Castle then on to the Temple district for a quick lunch and some fish and chips for me. We found a Penny's with nice Stones shirt so we had to make a stop there before we visited the Irish beach.

This evening we went for dinner at The Old Spot, what a superb place, cosy pub and terrific food, definitely worth a visit! Dublin was a nice city, but difficult to visit with a dog. The people are amazing, but the rules regarding dogs are quiet rigid.
