I love to travel and discover lovely cities, so I try to combine this tour with some sightseeing. Our first citytrip, destination Hamburg, was a chance for me to be the tourguide for Ron as I had already been to the city before.
Hamburg is a lovely port city and after our arrival in the Atlantic Kempinski we went for some sightseeing. Boats arrived right in front of the hotel to take you to the other side of the lake, a paradise for the true shop-a-holic. Still we kept wondering whether the Rolling Stones had already arrived.
The church of St. Michael offers a wonderful view over Hamburg and in the harbour you can do a tour by boat. Our stay coincided with the Hamburg Cruise Days. After a nice dinner at our hotel we went to the bar of the band's hotel. Here we first met Bernard, Darryl, Chuck, Karl and Tim. What a lovely evening we had.
During our stay the weather took a turn for the worse, with lots of rain so not a lot of strolling around after that, but still I can recommend Hamburg as a nice citytrip.
